3 – 6 month contract, the role is responsible for day to day data entry of bookings and transactions for Air, Ocean & Road movements within the relative departments. Fluency in a second European language would be beneficial.
A newly created role for a customs specialist to join a dynamic and growing customs team which covers the whole of the UK. In turn the team is part of a wider EU and global network of customs specialists. In your role, both individually and as part of the wider team, you will provide customs compliance and advisory services to clients in a wide range of industry sectors.
The areas you will work on will have a broad range of technical subjects including classification, origin & valuation, customs declaration procedure, customs software and reporting and supply chain optimisation.
To apply you will need demonstrable customs technical experience with a minimum of 2-3 years from either industry, logistics, freight forwarding, HMRC or accountancy background.
You will develop, co-ordinate and oversee effective implementation and operation of international trade controls and processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulatory compliance in relation to business activities from non-EU countries. You will address trade compliance issues to mitigate import (as well as potential export) compliance risks and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure non-UK entities follow all the international and national regulations for the movement of goods.
Managing and guiding the day to day activities of the Import Administration team. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Building the necessary controls and processes around our SAP based Import systems.
